A multinational corporation operates in multiple countries. "Multinational" itself implies that the company operates in "many nationalities (countries)". The difference between a multinational and international company is through one key difference. International companies sell/export their merchandise to be sold in many different nations. However, Multinational companies might have investments in different countries but only sell in select nations. For example, a company might have banana farms in several South American countries but only sell to the US and UK.
