I believe the answer is: Strategy

Strategy reefers to planned decision that is used to achieve a certain goal. In the example above, the goal of the hotel is to survive the downturn.

Conley realized that front-employees are the most curical resources in such situation since they are basically the main people that directly handled the customers. So, he choose a strategy to improve their general welfare and sacrificing his own needs.

MacDonald Products, Inc., of Clarkson, New York, has the option of (a) proceeding immediately with production of a new top-
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]

Answer:

The EMV for option a is $5,679,100

The EMV for option b is $5,719,200

Therefore, option b has the highest expected monetary value.

Explanation:

The EMV of the project is the Expected Money Value of the Project.

This value is given by the sum of each expected earning/cost multiplied by each probability.

So

a) proceeding immediately with production of a new top-of-the-line stereo TV that has just completed prototype testing.

There are these following probabilities:

77% probability of selling 100,000 units at $610 each.

23% probability of selling 70,000 units at $610 each.

So

EMV = 0.77*E_{1} + 0.23*E_{2}

E_{1} = 100,000*610 = 6,100,000

E_{2} = 70,000*610 = 4,270,000

EMV = 0.77*E_{1} + 0.23*E_{2} = 0.77*(6,100,000) + 0.23*(4,270,000) = 5,679,100

(b) having the value analysis team complete a study.

There are these following probabilities:

74% probability of selling 85,000 units at $720.

26% probability of selling 70,000 units at $720.

The cost of value engineering, at 120,000. So this value is going to be dereased from the EMV.

EMV = 0.74*E_{1} + 0.26*E_{2} - 120,000

E_{1} = 85,000*720 = 6,120,000

E_{2} = 70,000*720 = 5,040,000

EMV = 0.74*E_{1} + 0.26*E_{2} - 120,000 = 0.74*6,120,000 + 0.26*5,040,000 - 120,000 = 5,719,200

Angelina_Jolie [31]

Answer: Option B

Explanation: In simple words, acceptance speech refers to the speech  that is made by an individual generally after receiving award or similar honor as such.

In such a speech the receiving party shows gratitude and tries to connect with their audience by showing sentiments and proud of receiving the award. These speeches are  usually very brief and to the point but sometimes an extension is made by the deceiving party, stating some past events or making motivational statements to the audience.

In the given case, Carlos revived the award and thanked the school authority. Hence from the above we can conclude that the correct option is B.

Fiesta28 [93]

Answer:

he price of a 6-month call option on C.A.L.L. stock is 15.27

Explanation:

The price of a 6-month call option on C.A.L.L. stock at an exercise price of $125 is computed as;

C+Xe^{rt}  = P + S

Where as,

C = Value of call,

X = strike price,

P = value of put ,

S = Stock price

Thus,

C + 125e^{-5} = 10.27 + 125

C + 120 = 135.27

C = 15.27

Helen recently received a credit card with a nominal interest rate of 21 percent. With the card, she purchased some new clothes
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

It will take 14.2 months before Helen pays off the card.

Explanation:

PV Ordinary Annuity = C*[(1-(1+i/100)^(-n))/(i/100)]

C = Cash flow per period

i = interest rate

n = number of payments

250= 20*((1-(1+ 21/1200)^(-n*12))/(21/1200))

n(in years) = 1.19

Months = years*12 = 1.19*12 = 14.2 months
