Solutions

The mean is the average of the numbers. You find the mean by adding the numbers together and then dividing by the number of numbers in the group.

First, count how many numbers are in the group.

( 28,48,55,23,43,7,22,16,24,35,28,19 )

There are 12 numbers.
Now add all the numbers together:

( 28+48+55+23+43+7+22+16+24+35+28+19 )

= 348

Now divide the sum by the number of numbers:

= 348 / 12

= 29

Answer = (b)

Jermaine did this work to solve an equation. Did he make an error?
Tanya [424]

Answer:

First, I go by finding x and r.

After that, put the numbers (ie. x= # and r=#) into the equations. Check it by finding L.H.S and R.H.S. (ie. left hand side and right hand side)

If you are still confused, comment down and I'll try to provide better explanation!
