Step-by-step explanation:  x - 5/3 = x - 3/5

                                               x + -5/3 = x + -3/5

                                              x + -5/3 - x = x + -3/5 - x

                                             -5/3 = -3/5

                                             -5/3 + 5/3 = -3/5 + 5/3

                                              0 = 16/15
