Answer:

if the question is 1y/2+1/3=1/9

rather than1/2y+1/3=-1/9  the answer is -8/9

the ansewr of the latter question is -9/8

Step-by-step explanation:

y/2=-1/9-1/3=-4/9 so y=-8/9

the latter 1/2y=-4/9 and 1/y=-8/9 so y=-9/8

Which equation represents the graphed function?

Solution:

we have been asked to find

Which equation represents the graphed function?

As we can see in the graph, the line is passing through the point (2,0) and (0,-3).

As we know the equation of the passing through two points is given by the formula

(y-y_1)=m(x-x_1)\\
\\
m=slope=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}=\frac{-3-0}{0-2}=\frac{3}{2}  \\

So the equation of the line will be

y-0=\frac{3}{2}(x-2)\\
\\
y= \frac{3}{2}x-3\\
\\

Find the measure of angle x in the figure below:
BartSMP [9]
First, it's worth noting that angles on a straight line sum to 180°. We can use this information to find out the value of y:
180-52-59=69
y=69°
Another rule is that the angles in a triangle sum to 180° as well. This means that we can now find out x:
63+y+x=180
63+69+x=180
180-63-69=x
x=48°

Hey guys! Can you simplify this? Be sure to show your work so i know you aren't guessing! Also remember when you answer a questi
Evgen [1.6K]

Answer: x=7

Step-by-step explanation:

Simplifying

8 + 2x = 6x + -20

Reorder the terms:

8 + 2x = -20 + 6x

Solving

8 + 2x = -20 + 6x

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-6x' to each side of the equation.

8 + 2x + -6x = -20 + 6x + -6x

Combine like terms: 2x + -6x = -4x

8 + -4x = -20 + 6x + -6x

Combine like terms: 6x + -6x = 0

8 + -4x = -20 + 0

8 + -4x = -20

Add '-8' to each side of the equation.

8 + -8 + -4x = -20 + -8

Combine like terms: 8 + -8 = 0

0 + -4x = -20 + -8

-4x = -20 + -8

Combine like terms: -20 + -8 = -28

-4x = -28

Divide each side by '-4'.

x = 7

Simplifying

x = 7
