The cellular structure responsible for this disease is THE ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM.
In eurkaryotic cells, endoplasmic reticulum is very essential for the folding and trafficking of proteins. Increased protein synthesis and environmental insults usually leads to the misfolding of proteins by endoplasmic reticulum. The accumulation of misfolded proteins inside the cell is called endoplasmic reticulum stress.

What is the importance of reducing sugars and non reducing sugars<br>
Gennadij [26K]
The reducing sugars are mainly monosaccharides where all polysaccharides are non-reducing sugars. The reducing sugar can reduce the capric ions of the Fehling or the Benedict solution into the cuprous ions whereas, the reduction of cupric ions into the cuprous ions is not achieved in the non-reducing sugars.
