This would be called an ion. Tch.
The speed of objects is influenced by a few factors, the amount of force that is being exerted upon them being one of them. The famous physicist Newton was talking about this phenomenon in his famous laws of Newton as well. .. and so on :) then you could explain his laws and which one applies in this case :)
