Surface area of the cylinder = 1850 square meters
Radius = 9 meters
Surface area of cylinder = 2*pi*r*h
1850=2*22/7*9*h
h      = 1850*7/2*22*9
        = 32.7 meters

Volume of cylinder = pi*r*r*h
                              = 22/7*9*9*32.7
                              = 8324.48  = 8324 (approx) cubic meters

I am thinking of a number. When I double my number and then subtract the result from five, I get negative one. What is my number
pogonyaev

Answer:

3

Step-by-step explanation:

To turn the word problem into an equation, when we read:

"I am thinking of a number" we write "x"

"when I double my number" we write "2x"

"and then subtract the result from 5" we write "5 - 2x"

"I get negative one" we write "-1 = 5 - 2x"

Now we solve for the number, which is x.

Equation: -1 = 5 - 2x

-1 = 5 - 2x

subtract 5 from both sides

-6 = -2x

divide both sides by -2

3 = x

There we go! The number is

3

The approximate mass of Mars is 6.42 X 10^23 kg write this mass and standard notation
Sauron [17]

Answer:

642,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kg

Step-by-step explanation: Basically you are multiplying 6.42 by 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. That looks really intimidating but it is very simple. All you have to do is move the decimal 23 hops to the right. Moving it to the right makes the number big, were moving it to the left makes the number smaller. We want a bigger number because we are writing the number in standard notation. Right now it is in scientific notation form (scientific notation is used because it is easier and quicker to write than writing 21 zeros).
