Answer:

29

Step-by-step explanation:

-(-14) is a double negative, thus the minus signs are cancelled out turning 14 positive.

The equation is now 15 + 14 which is 29

210

since when you multiply two negative numbers for example -15 times a negative 14 your answer will be positive then you do 15 times 14 which gives you positive 210.

(4)(2) = (2)(4) what property is this out of commutative property , associative property, distributive property
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

Commutative property

Step-by-step explanation:

This is an example of the commutative property as its states that it is applicable in multiplication and addition where 2 numbers can switch places and give the same result in both situations.

(4)(2) = 8

(2)(4) = 8

(1+tanx)/(sinx+cosx)=secx
jek_recluse [69]

\frac{1+\tan x}{\sin x+\cos x}=\sec x is proved

<h3><u>Solution:</u></h3>

Given that,

\frac{1+\tan x}{\sin x+\cos x}=\sec x  ------- (1)

First we will simplify the LHS and then compare it with RHS

\text { L. H.S }=\frac{1+\tan x}{\sin x+\cos x}  ------ (2)

\text {We know that } \tan x=\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}

Substitute this in eqn (2)

=\frac{1+\frac{\sin x}{\cos x}}{\sin x+\cos x}

On simplification we get,

=\frac{\frac{\sin x+\cos x}{\cos x}}{\sin x+\cos x}

=\frac{\sin x+\cos x}{\cos x} \times \frac{1}{\sin x+\cos x}

Cancelling the common terms (sinx + cosx)

=\frac{1}{c o s x}

We know secant is inverse of cosine

=\sec x=R . H . S

Thus L.H.S = R.H.S

\frac{1+\tan x}{\sin x+\cos x}=\sec x

Hence proved

Make X the subject :))
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

x = \frac{3 + 8y}{y - 1}

Step-by-step explanation:

y = \frac{x + 3 }{x - 8}

Cross multiply,

y(x - 8) = x +3

yx - 8y = x + 3

yx - 8y -x = 3

yx - x     = 3 + 8y

  (y - 1)x = 3 +8y

           x = \frac{3 + 8y}{y - 1}
