Let x be the number of employees in 2011. The number of employees in 2012 was 105% of x, i.e.

$x\cdot \dfrac{105}{100}$

The number of employees in 2013 was 105% of the number of employees in 2012, i.e.

$\left(x\cdot \dfrac{105}{100}\right)\cdot \dfrac{105}{100}\right = x\cdot \left(\dfrac{105}{100}\right)^2 = x\cdot \dfrac{11025}{10000}$

Since 11025/10000 = 110.25%, there was an increment of 10.25%
