A uniform ladder is 10 m long and weighs 400 n. it rests with its upper end against a frictionless vertical wall. its lower end

rests on the ground and is prevented from slipping by a peg driven into the ground. the ladder makes a 30ô° angle with the horizontal. the magnitude of the force exerted on the peg by the ladder is:

<h3><u>Answer;</u></h3>

200 N

<h3><u>Solution;</u></h3>

Given ;

Weight = 400 N

Length of the ladder = 10 m

Using the equation;

Torque = d x F, where F is the perpendicular force and d is the distance

Calculating torque about the lower end,

Tweight = Twall

400N(5cos30) = F (10sin30)

 F = 200 N

Therefore, the magnitude of force exerted on the peg by the ladder is 200 N

X=3t^2-12t+5 calculate time t=1 and time when velocity zero
anyanavicka [17]
You plug your 1 into all spots where the variable is T. Then after you’ve done this, you simply simplify the problem. Then after simplifying you should have an equation where you are simply adding and subtracting which will give you the final answer of 2.

X=3T^2-12T+5
X=3(1)^2-12(1)+5
X=(3)^2-12+5
X=9-12+5

The diagram below shows the velocity vectors for two cars that are moving relative to each other.
scoundrel [369]

Answer:

The answer is "5 \ \frac{m}{s} \ west"

Explanation:

\to \vec{V_1} = (25 \frac{m}{s}) (\hat{-i})\\\\\to  \vec{V_2} = (20 \frac{m}{s}) (\hat{-i})\\\\

velocity of car | respect to car :

\to \vec{V_{12}} = \vec{V_1} - \vec{V_2}\\\\

          =\vec{-25} \hat{i}+ \vec{20} \hat{i}\\\\= 5 \ \frac{m}{s} \ west
