The painting called American Progress suggested that Manifest Destiny: was likely to bring technology and civilization to territory in the West

Manifest destiny was a belief which stated that American people were destined by God to expand its influence in economic and government system throughout north america.

Since industrial revolution started from north east, this mean that the progress would most likely spread the influence of the technology to the western side of american territory and moved to the rest of north america.
