Answer: This process absorbs energy.

Explanation:

There are two ways in which electrons can transition between energy levels:

Absorption spectra: This type of spectra is seen when an electron jumps from lower energy level to higher energy level. In this process, energy is absorbed.

Emission spectra: This type of spectra is seen when an electron jumps from higher energy level to lower energy level. In this process, energy is released in the form of photons.

So, when electron jumps from lower to higher energy level, it absorbs energy.

Please help...........................
Marianna [84]
Hi!

Neutrons are neutral, which means they don't exactly have an electrical charge. It's because of this neutral charge that it is represented with a '0'.

On the other hand, protons and electrons do have electrical charges. Electrons flow around the outside of the nucleus, with a negative charge.

Protons are stored in the nucleus with the neutrons, holding a positive charge.

Hopefully, this helps! =)

An extended period of well-below-average temperatures is known as a
jasenka [17]
Well, I think it kinda depends on how long the "extended period" is.

If the extended period is a week, a month, or a few months,
then I'd call it a 'cold wave'.

If the extended period is like 100 years or more, then you're
starting to talk 'ice age'.

What happens to a light ray if it is incident on a reflective surface along the normal?
Bad White [126]

Answer: The incident ray and the reflected ray and the normal will be parallel to each other.

Explanation:

The normal is perpendicular to the surface of the mirror or the reflective surface.

According to the law of reflection which state that:

The angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection on a smooth surface.

If a light ray is incident on a reflective surface along the normal. The angle of incidence will be at 90 degrees which will be perpendicular to the surface of the mirror, the reflected ray will bounce back likewise at the same angle which will be perpendicular to the reflective surface.

Both the incident ray and the reflected ray and the normal will be parallel to each other.
