GrogVix [38]
The complete question in the attached figure

we know that
length side AB=8 units
length side DE=4 units

[ABC]=[DEF]*[scale factor]
then
[scale factor ]=[ABC]/[DEF]---------> 8/4--------> 2

Please help me with this question. I am very confused.
Oksanka [162]
I think u do the ones in the parenthesis first bc of PEMDAS since it's both negative it become positive and u can cross out both the 2's and that leaves u with 1/7 and then u just times 1/7 with 8 and then u get 8/7

hoped this helped! :)

Classify this polynomial 5x^2 +3
Leno4ka [110]

Answer:

Degree is 2 so it is a quadratic.

The number of terms is 2 so it is a binomial.

It is a binomial quadratic.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's find the degree of the polynomial first. I'm going to consider first the degrees of 5x^2 and 3.

The degree of the monomial 5x^2 is 2 because x is the only variable and it's exponent is 2.

The degree of the monomial 3 is 0 because there is no variable.

The degree of 5x^2+3 is therefore 2 because that is the highest degree of the monomials contained with in this polynomial 5x^2+3.

Degree 2 has a special name.

The special name for a degree 2 polynomial is quadratic.

Let's look at the number of terms in 5x^2+3.

Terms are separated by addition and subtraction symbols so there are two terms.

There is a special name for a two-termed polynomial, it is binomial.

So this is the following information I collected on our given polynomial:

Degree is 2 so it is a quadratic.

The number of terms is 2 so it is a binomial.

It is a binomial quadratic.

What is 3/5 + 2/3 in the simplest form
Blizzard [7]
19/15 OR 1 and 4/5
First find a common denominator, which in this case is 15. So put 15 as each of the fractions denominators. Then multiply the numerator by what you multiplied to the denominator.

EXAMPLE

3/5 x 3/3 = 9/15
2/3 x 3/3 = 10/15         Ten plus nine =s 19. Keep the denominator the same. Turn into a mixed number by figuring out how many times 15 goes into 19 (once) and addng what's left. (4/5) You should get 1 and 4/5
