Three equal point charges, each with charge 1.65 μC , are placed at the vertices of an equilateral triangle whose sides are of l

ength 0.650 m . What is the electric potential energy U of the system? (Take as zero the potential energy of the three charges when they are infinitely far apart.)

Answer:

U = 0.113 J

Explanation:

Electrostatic potential energy of two charges at some distance is given as

U = \frac{kq_1q_2}{r}

since there are three charges on the vertices of the triangle

so here total potential energy is given as

U_{net} = 3\frac{kq_1q_2}{r}

U_[net} = 3(\frac{(9\times 10^9)((1.65 \mu C)(1.65 \mu C)}{0.650})

U_{net} = 3(0.038 J)

U_{net} = 0.113 J

So electrostatic total energy is 0.113 J

A)Ep'=mgh=mgl(1-cosa).At the bottom of the swing Ep=0(reference level),so the potential energy as the child is just released is bigger than the potential energy at the bottom of the swing.;B)The speed of the child at the bottom of the swing-->v=√(2gh)=√[2gl(1-cosa)];C)I don't think that the tension does any work.

Human-Powered Flight Human-powered aircraft require a pilot to pedal, as in a bicycle, and produce a sustained power output of a
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

# of Snickers bars 2

Explanation:

Power output= 0.30 HP

=0.3*746

= 0.30 HP (746 W=1.00 HP)

= 224 W

time required 2 h 49 m = 10140 seconds

Since power is work divided by time, then work is:

Work done by the jet = P*t

= 224 *(10140)

= 2.3 MJ (2.3 x 10^{6} J)

Converting MJ to Cal

2.3 MJ=549 Cal

# of Snickers bars = 549 Cal / 280 Cal

= 2.0 bars (rounded from 1.96)

List and describe three biological applications of electricity
mihalych1998 [28]

Before we dive into how electricity is used around the home it is worth putting household electricity use in perspective.

Household electricity use generally makes up about a third of total electricity consumption  in most developed nations.  Using data from the European Union we can give an example of how electricity demand is split among different sectors.
