The International Standards Organization, also known as ISO, is the international organization that deals with compatibility and interoperability between health standards development organizations. This institution was founded in 1946 in Switzerland and had the participation of 91 countries.
In general, we can affirm that ISO is not only related to the standardization of the health area, but is responsible for promoting the normalization and standardization of all branches related to the trade of goods and services, aiming to make these products and services factors of high quality.
