Answer:

The correct answer is D. The US Constitution established six-year terms for members of the Senate in order to allow senators to focus on long term national issues.

Explanation:

The fathers of the Constitution created a bicameral Congress for the desire to have two chambers to be supervised among them. The intention of the House of Representatives was to be the "people's chamber", which would be extremely sensitive to public opinion. The other chamber was intended to represent the states. Until 1913, senators were elected by state legislatures and not by popular vote; in that year the Seventeenth Amendment was promulgated, which established the senatorial election via direct popular election. This would be a forum of greater deliberation, where the six-year periods would allow the Senators not to depend totally on public opinion as in the cases of short periods, instead focusing of larger issues.

What are the direct causes of World War 1 and 2?
ololo11 [35]
World War I: Nationalistic Bosnian assassians, supplied by the Serbian terrorist orginization Black Hand tried to kill Austrian Archeduke Frand Ferdinand, a few countries started arguing... and eventually it was everyone pointing fingers and saying "i'm gonna fight you because you fought my friend".

World War II: Germany was blamed for WWI, and world leaders came together to decide what to do, and decided to severly punish Germany. Once Germany learned of it's punishments and how it affected the country Germans/Germany became furious. One artist, who we know as Adolf Hitler, came up and said he could easily change the problems facing the Weimer Republic (Germany of the time). During this time, radicals could easily gain support because of how much people wanted change, and one such party that was active in this time was the Nazi Party. Hitler worked his way to become leader of the Nazi Party, and after tried to turn his reign into a dictatorship. He failed a coup and the successfully got to the top (meaning he could do what he likes) through legit means. After Hitler became a big fascist leader, he linked up with other fascists and everyone was basically waiting for Germany to make a move because world tension was super high.

Why did the prohibition happen?
Tanya [424]

National alcohol prohibition (1920–1933) was a "noble experiment" that attempted to reduce crime and corruption, address social concerns, alleviate the financial burden of prisons and poorhouses, and improve American culture.

Who promoted the ban on alcohol?

The Women's Christian Morality Union and the Pro League had been in the forefront of the prohibitionist struggle for a century. These organizations created a potent alliance focused on a particular topic and actively pushed regional, state, and national governments.

How and why was prostitution abolished?

The 21st Amendment was ratified on December 5, 1933, as stated in this proclamation by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The worldwide ban of alcohol was lifted by the 21st Amendment, which also ended the increasingly unpopular eighteenth Amendment of January 16, 1919.
