tbh I'm not sure if this is the form they wanted it in but assuming this is an arithmetic sequence you can find the equation by finding the n-1(assuming 32 is the first term 12 would be the zero term) term and then adding the common difference(20) to get 12x+20.
However that might be the recursive way so do double check your options.
