Pyruvate dehydrogenase is a large, highly integrated complex containing many copies of three distinct enzymes. There are five co

enzymes involved in its catalytic activity: NAD , FAD, coenzyme A, lipoamide, and thiamine pyrophosphate (TPP or TDP). The coenzymes can be classified depending on how they participate in an enzymatic reaction.
A coenzyme prosthetic group is tightly bound to the enzyme and remains bound during the catalytic cycle. The original coenzymes are regenerated during the catalytic cycle.

On the other hand, a coenzyme cosubstrate is loosely bound to an enzyme and dissociates in an altered form as part of the catalytic cycle. Its original form is regenerated not by the cycle, but by another enzyme.

Which are coenzyme prosthetics?

1. NAD+

2. TPP or TDP

3. lipoamide

4. FAD

5. coenzyme A

Answer:

The correct answer is a coenzyme cosubstrate is loosely bound to an enzyme and dissociates in an altered form as the part of the catalytic cycle.Its original form is regenerated not by the cycle but by other enzyme.

Explanation:

The prosthetic group of the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase is

2 TPP or Thymine pyrophosphate.

3 Lipomide.

Given the following table, which statement is true about atoms A and B?
lisabon 2012 [21]

Answer:

The statement true is A. A and B are isotopes of the same element.

Explanation:

Isotopes correspond to atoms of the same element with different mass numbers (A), that is to say they differ in the amount of neutrons in the nucleus. In the case of compound A it has 10 neutrons, and B has 11.

Help pleaseeee. over dilutions in chemistry
atroni [7]

Answer:

5 L

Explanation:

We'll begin by calculating the molarity of the CaCl₂ solution. This can be obtained as follow:

Mole of CaCl₂ = 0.5 mole

Volume = 2 L

Molarity =?

Molarity = mole /Volume

Molarity = 0.5 / 2

Molarity = 0.25 M

Finally, we shall determine the volume of the diluted solution. This can be obtained as follow:

Molarity of stock solution (M₁) = 0.25 M

Volume of stock solution (V₁) = 2 L

Molarity of diluted solution (M₂) = 0.1 M

Volume of diluted solution (V₂) =?

M₁V₁ = M₂V₂

0.25 × 2 = 0.1 × V₂

0.5 = 0.1 × V₂

Divide both side by 0.1

V₂ = 0.5 / 0.1

V₂ = 5 L

Thus the volume of the diluted solution is 5 L

Why are plant oils important in our diet?
Lesechka [4]
Plant oil or also called as vegetable oils are considered as important part of our diet because it is the source of energy in our diet. Foods that are cooked using vegetable oils produce more energy than to those foods that are cooked using other oil. Vegetable oils also contains saturated and unsaturated fats and oils.
Vegetable oil or plant oil are healthier compare to the other oil. It also lessen the unwanted and unhealthy fats of an oil and gives only proper health diet to our body.

A metal atom loses electrons from its outermost energy level and acquires a...... Charge. These electrons join a nonmetal atom.
sp2606 [1]

Answer : A metal atom loses electrons from its outermost energy level and acquires a Positive Charge. These electrons join a nonmetal atom. The ionic compound formed because of this transfer of electrons is electrically Neutral.

Explanation :

All the elements try to acquire octet state by gaining or losing electrons. For metals, the number of valence electrons are less and it is easier to lose these electrons.

When electrons are lost, the number of protons become more than the electrons. This creates an excess of positive charge. As a result the species becomes positively charged and is known as cation.

During formation of ionic bond, metals always form a positive ion (cation) by losing electrons. These electrons are accepted by the nonmetals and they become negatively charged. A negatively charged ion is known as anion and nonmetals always form an anion.

These are attracted to each other due to the opposite charges present on them. In an ionic compound they balance the charges on each other making the compound neutral.

From the above discussion, we can fill in the blanks as follows.

A metal atom loses electrons from its outermost energy level and acquires a Positive Charge. These electrons join a nonmetal atom. The ionic compound formed because of this transfer of electrons is electrically Neutral.
