Answer:

D). Could imprison him but could never confine his soul.

Explanation:

As per the given description, Thoreau most likely possessed a belief that the state 'could imprison him but could never confine his soul' on the basis of his transcendental beliefs which he has portrayed in his famous work 'Civil Disobedience'. He believed that the political authorities as well as controlled religion destroys the individual' purity, faith, and self-reliance. This idea of him is reflected when he asserts that 'they could not reach me, they had resolved to punish the body, ..but can't come to those who've a spite' which implies that the authorities cannot restrict his individuality or soul. Therefore, option D is the correct answer.

Margaret [11]

Hello. You have not submitted the arguments to which this question refers, which makes it impossible for this question to be answered. However, I will try to help you in the best possible way.

A persuasive argument is one that has the capacity to convince the reader about something. The author of this argument wants the reader to agree with what he is presenting and for this reason uses several evidences and supporting information to show that the argument is valid, true and that it must be adopted by the reader. Therefore, to answer this question, you must first read the arguments and see which one has less evidence, failing to show that it is correct and that it must be believed. In this case, this argument is the least persuasive.

Two suggestion to reduce acid rain
barxatty [35]

here are ur two suggestions

1.)One of the main causes of acid rain is a sudden drop in the pH levels of water and that happens because of absorption of harmful gases by the atmosphere. The best way to restore the pH balance of water is to limit the use of items which run on gasoline. Instead use products which run on electricity; as they are much easier to run and maintain.

2.)Another great thing that all people can do is to learn how to drive cars efficiently. While driving on roads there are a lot of things that can be done to reduce smoke emission from cars. Drivers should ease up as soon as the yellow light rather than slamming on the brakes and they shouldn't rush away as soon as the lights turn green. These small practices help reduce the wastage of gasoline and helps people save a lot of money on fuel.

i hope this helps!!! have a great day!!!
