Chambers :

Right atrium – receives the deoxygenated blood from various parts of the body

Left atrium – receives the oxygenated blood from the lungs through pulmonary veins

Major blood vessels:

Pulmonary artery: carries impure deoxygenated blood from right ventricle to the lungs for oxygenation

Pulmonary vein: carries pure oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium

Valves: controls back flow of blood

The bicuspid valve is present between the left atrium and left ventricle  

Tricuspid valve or mitral valve: present between right atrium and right ventricle  

Pulmonary valve: present at the pulmonary artery  

Aortic valve: present at the aorta
