Answer and Explanation:

The scientific method consists of systematic observations, measures, experimentation, analysis, and verification of a hypothesis.

There are different steps to follow in a scientific method:

 1. Previous knowledge about the study object.
 2. Definition and problem statement. The question for which there is not an answer yet. A question the investigator wants to answer.
 3. Hypothesis formulation. The hypothesis that the investigator makes in order to predict what is going to happen.
 4. The goal, which is what the investigator wants to know.
 5. Data collection and analysis. This step involves testing the observations. The experiment is performed to answer the question.
 6. Results
 7. Verification of hypothesis. This step involves the deriving of the working hypothesis.
 8. Conclusions and Discussion. The hypothesis is rejected or accepted.

In the exposed example, there are some materials provided, such as sugar, stir sticks, access to warm or cold water and ice, thermometers, beakers, objects that floats partially submerged in water, graph paper, jumbo paper clip, straws, rulers, protractor.

1. What kind of questions would you ask based on the materials provided

How does water temperature affects or influence the sugar solubility?

2. Write a hypothesis

As water temperature gets colder, sugar solubility in water will decrease.

3. come up with a solution

As water temperature dicreased, it took more time for the sugar to disolve in water. These variables were inversely proportional.

In this case, the experiment could be as following:

1) -Fill a beaker with warm water

-Using the thermometer, check the temperature in the beaker.

-Add a certain amount of sugar, for example, you might add ten coffee spoons filled with sugar in the glass.

-Stir with the stick until the sugar is dissolved, let the solution settle down and check how much time took it to the sugar to dissolve

2) -Fill a second beaker with warm water at the same initial temperature as it was the first one. Let the water rest for 3 minutes.

-Using the thermometer, check the temperature in the beaker.

-Add ten coffee spoons filled with sugar in the glass.

-Stir with the stick until the sugar is dissolved, let the solution settle down and check how much time took it to the sugar to dissolve

3) -Fill the third beaker with warm water at the same initial temperature as it was the first one. Let the water rest for 6 minutes.

-Using the thermometer, check the temperature in the beaker.

-Add ten coffee spoons filled with sugar in the glass.

-Stir with the stick until the sugar is dissolved, let the solution settle down and check how much time took it to the sugar to dissolve

4) -Fill the fourth beaker with warm water at the same initial temperature as it was the first one. Let the water rest for 9 minutes.

-Using the thermometer, check the temperature in the beaker.

-Add ten coffee spoons filled with sugar in the glass.

-Stir with the stick until the sugar is dissolved, let the solution settle down and check how much time took it to the sugar to dissolve

5) Compare the initial temperature with the temperatures after resting. Compare how much time did it took sugar to dissolve in each beaker.

6) Make correlations between water temperature and the dilution time.

7) Conclude.

Fat and atp are different molecules tgat store energy compare the functions of these molecules in terms of energy storage
Julli [10]

Answer:

Fats and ATP are both energy molecules.

ATP is the source of energy which is directly used by each cell to carry out different functions. All cells use energy in the form of ATP. The mitochondria makes ATP by the process of cellular respiration whenever it is required by the body. ATP is not a stable molecule hence energy cannot be stored in this form.

Fats are long term energy storage molecules. Fats are stable molecules hence they can be used for long term energy storage.

Which would be an adaptation in a very cold place but not in a rainforest?
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer: The adaptations like paddy feet and fur on the outer body is an adaptation for very cold place but not for the rain forest.

Explanation: If the outer body of the organism is made of fur then it will protect the inside body from cold and will provide warmth.

But if the body will have adaptation like fur in the rain forest then it will make the organism wet so there will be no use of fur on the outer surface of the organism.

The adaptation like camouflage will help the organism in the rainforest so that it can hide themselves from predators in the forest.
