Wait times to get through security lines at Chicago's O'Hare Airport were so long Sunday night that some travelers were left stranded and camping out overnight in the terminal after being forced to miss their flights.

Monday morning wait times were reported to be exceeding 90 minutes during peak hours, just in the time spent trying to make their way to the checkpoints. It's quite worrisome for travelers, as the airports are months ahead of their busiest months of July and August.

referring to the passage "seven ages of man" by william shakespeare identify what stage of man's life to the encounter a certain
OlgaM077 [116]

According to the text, we can see that the stage of man's life in which we can see a social issue is the soldier stage.

We can arrive at this answer because:

  • "Seven ages of man," is the poem written by Shakespeare where he associates the phases of a man's life with the phases of the theatrical stage.
  • Each phase of man is a significant moment in life that allows man to have different experiences and concepts.
  • The stage in which man becomes a soldier is the stage where the poet allows man to meet social issues.
  • That's because as a soldier, man is completely inserted in society and must act in favor of social growth, managing to have access to all the problems and issues that society presents.

This phase can be seen in the following lines:

<em>"Then a soldier,</em>

Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,

Jealous in honour, sudden and quick in quarrel,

Seeking the bubble reputation

Even in the cannon’s mouth."

blsea [12.9K]

Answer:

When groups are not equivalent, researchers can look at changes from pretest to posttest scores.

Explanation:

 A nonequivalent control group

This is simply regarded as a control group that is set on certain previous (preexisting) descriptions or characteristics that is almost the same or similar to those observed in a treatment group and participants are not randomly assigned. it is said that in a quasi experiment, a dependent variable measured in a treatment group is compared to that in the nonequivalent control group.

A nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design

In this type of design, it is said that the dependent variable is  scored or measured in one group of participants before  the pretest is made and also after the posttest,  a treatment and that same dependent variable is also measured at pretest and posttest in another nonequivalent control group that does not receive the treatment.  Here, the groups are not  usually equivalent.

Advantages and disadvantages of the nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design

Advantages

1. it is often used  to rate or compare scores before and after a treatment in a group that receives the treatment and in a group that does not.

Disadvantages

1. it is prone to the threat of selection differences.
