During a Type 1 incident, all the regional as well as the national resources are alerted and is activated. An incident of this level provides activation of all the position be it be Command or General Staff personnel and also to activate all the branches. This is important because it requires  a proper coordinated approach from the root level to the national level in order to prevent it to become more disastrous.
