Length of string A = 35 cm

Length of string B = 5 times as long as String A

= 5\times35 = 175 cm

Assuming that whole length of string A and B is used to decorate one bottle

So if ,35 cm of string A and 175 cm of string B is needed for 1 bottle.

Hence, for 17 bottles string A needed is = 35\times17=595 cm

For 17 bottles string B needed is = 17\times175=2975 cm

In meters the length becomes;

1 cm = 0.01 meter

String A = 595 cm = 5.95 meter

String B = 2975 cm = 29.75 meter

And if these are added they become = 5.95+29.75 =35.70 meter

So, total length needed is = 35.70 meter ( if string A and B are added together)

Otherwise total String A needed is 5.95 meters and string B needed is 29.75 meters.

Given that the series kcoskt kº +2 k=1 converges, suppose that the 3rd partial sum of the series is used to estimate the sum of
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

c

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

\sum \limits ^{\infty}_{k=1} \dfrac{kcos (k\pi)}{k^3+2}

since cos (kπ) = -1^k

Then, the  series can be expressed as:

\sum \limits ^{\infty}_{k=1} \dfrac{(-1)^kk)}{k^3+2}

In the sum of an alternating series, the best bound on the remainder for the approximation is related to its (n+1)^{th term.

∴

\sum \limits ^{\infty}_{k=1} \dfrac{(-1)^{(3+1)}(3+1))}{(3+1)^3+2}

\sum \limits ^{\infty}_{k=1} \dfrac{(-1)^{(4)}(4))}{(4)^3+2}

= \dfrac{4}{64+2}

=\dfrac{2}{33}

Given that 2(-x + 4)=3 prove that x=5/2
user100 [1]

Answer:

x = 5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

So firstly, you want to distribute. It'll make your life much easier.

-2x + 8 = 3

-2x = -5 (subtracting 8 from both sides)

x = 5/2 (dividing both sides by -2 to obtain x)

Hope this helps :)

pablo will rent a car for the weekend. he can choose one of two plans. the first plan has an initial fee of $55.96 with addition
kow [346]

Answer:

200 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

First, set up the equations.

plan 1: initial fee of $55.96, $0.12 per mile

  • y = 0.12x + 55.96

plan 2: initial fee of $63.96, $0.08 per mile

  • y = 0.08x + 63.96

We want to know at what distance will the cost be the same. So, set the equations equal to each other.

0.12x + 55.96 = 0.08x + 63.96

Combine the variables.

0.04x + 55.96 = 63.96

Combine the constants.

0.04x = 8

Divide by 0.04 to isolate x.

x = 200 miles

Check by plugging x back into each equation.

y = 0.12(200) + 55.96

y = 24 + 55.96

y = $79.96

y = 0.08(200) + 63.96

y = 16 + 63.96

y = $79.96

You are correct!

Write an expression to represent "triple the<br> quotient of a number and three."
Furkat [3]

Answer:

3n/3     or  3n÷3

Step-by-step explanation:

since it says triple the quotient of a <u>number</u>, we can use the number n.

To find the quotient means to divide and it's going to be by that numer.....n....... trippled (3)

put them all together and you get 3n/3
