Answer:

Let me Demonstrate this by an Example.Suppose there is Paper in the shape of Rectangle which is cut into four equal parts, and the same paper is cut into ten equal parts.

Now when the paper was divided into four parts

Ratio of one part of divided paper to ratio of whole paper

     =\frac{1}{4}

And, the second way, in which the paper was divided into ten parts

Ratio of one part of divided paper to ratio of whole paper

     =\frac{1}{10}

As, number of part of a thing increases, the size of each single divided piece decreases.

I have explained it with the help of diagram also,

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

1 loaf requires 565 g of flour , then

p loaves requires 565p g of flour

100 g is required for sprinkling , then

total amount of flour = 565p + 100

Equate expression to 3700 and solve for p

565p + 100 = 3700 ( subtract 100 from both sides )

565p = 3600 ( divide both sides by 565 )

p = 6.37168.....

Thus a maximum of 6 loaves can be made

P=12T

Q=66T

-----------

Toys added to each bag:

P=12T+nT

Q=66T+nT

Therefore, 66T+nT=3(12T+nT)

------------

66T+nT=36T+3nT

T(66+n)=T(36+3n)

66+n=36+3n

3n-n=66-36

2n=30

Therefore, n=30/2=15

-------------

*She added 15 toys to each bag.

Can anybody help me plzz
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

  1 : 12 : 4

Step-by-step explanation:

Let A, G, C represent the ages of Alex, George, and Carl, respectively. We are told that ...

  A = G +12

  C = 3A . . . . . . . we read this as "3 times as old"; not "3 times older"

  A + G + C = 68

Substituting for G and C, we have ...

  A + (A -12) +(3A) = 68

  5A = 80 . . . . . add 12

  A = 16 . . . . . . . divide by 5

The other ages are then ...

  G = A-12 = 16 -12 = 4

  C = 3A = 3·16 = 48

The ratios are ...

  G : C : A = 4 : 48 : 16

  G : C : A = 1 : 12 : 4

ICE Princess25 [194]

Answer:

12x=10(25+x)

Step-by-step explanation:

Jim's rate=x

Pete's rate=y

Jim and Pete lays the same number of tiles.

So we have,

12x=10y

Pete's can lay 25 more tiles than Jim per hour

We have

y=25+x

Substitute y=25+x into 12x=10y

12x=10y

12x=10(25+x)

12x=250+10x

12x-10x=250

2x=250

x=250/2

=125

x=125

12x=10(25+x) is the equation used to find the rate that Jim can lay tiles

A father and his son decide to sum their age. The sum is equal to sixty years. Six years ago, the age of the father was five tim
arlik [135]

Answer:

20

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this you have to make a system of equations.

Since the father and son's age sum up to 60, the first equation will be:

f + s = 60

Secondly, since the father's age is 5 times the age of the son 6 years ago the equation will be:

6 - (5s) = f

Now, you have to solve the first equation to let it equal to s

f + s = 60

f = 60 - s

Plug in

6 - 5s = 60 - s

     +s          +s

6 - 4s = 60

-6         -6

---------------------

-4s = 54

-----   -----

 -4     -4

   s ≅ 14

14 + 6 = 20
