A customer borrowed $2000 and then a further $1000 both repayble in 12 months. What would he have saved if he had taken out one loan for $3000 repayable in 12 months?

He took two different loans, it charged him loan processing fee twice, two-time documentation process, and of course, extra time spent for second loan. Instead, he could take single loan of $3000 with one-time processing fee, one-time documentation process, and time-saving also.

What are relations and functions in terms of mathematics ??
egoroff_w [7]

Relation - if we have two sets defined under certain condition which relates them then it is called relation.

Function - any relation is said to be function if every element of set A is uniquely related to set B. where we assumed any two arbitrary sets.

A machine produces small cans that are used for baked beans. The probabil- ity that the can is in perfect shape is 0.9. The prob
Elis [28]

Answer:

0.9783 = 97.83% probability that a can that gets shipped for use will be of perfect shape

Step-by-step explanation:

Conditional Probability

We use the conditional probability formula to solve this question. It is

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)}

In which

P(B|A) is the probability of event B happening, given that A happened.

P(A \cap B) is the probability of both A and B happening.

P(A) is the probability of A happening.

In this question:

Event A: Shipped for use

Event B: Perfect shape

Probability of being shipped for use:

Perfect shape(0.9 probability) or unnoticeable dent(0.02 probability). So

P(A) = 0.9 + 0.02 = 0.92

Being shipped for use and being in perfect shape.

0.9 probability, so P(A \cap B) = 0.9

What is the probability that a can that gets shipped for use will be of perfect shape?

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)} = \frac{0.9}{0.92} = 0.9783

0.9783 = 97.83% probability that a can that gets shipped for use will be of perfect shape

suppose that the equation n=700(0.2) to the power of 0.5t represents the nulber of employees working t years after the opening o
Sedaia [141]

Answer:

700

Step-by-step explanation:

Since t represents the amount of years after the opening and you want to know the amount of employees working there on opening day you can plug in 0 for t.

n=700(.2)^.5(0)

n=700

The true conditional statement, "If 5x + 7 = 2x - 1, then 3x + 7 = -1," illustrates which property of equality?
il63 [147K]
<span>The given condition is:
If 5x + 7 = 2x =1, then 3x + 7 = -1
=> This given equation represent  a subtraction property of equality.
=> 5x +7 =2x-1
=> 5x – 2x + 7 = -1
=> 3x + 7 = -1

What we did was  we subtracted 2x from 5x to get the 3x
Subtraction property of equality is a mathematical process in where we subtract numbers from both sides that contains the same expression.
Like 5x and 2x, since they have the same equation, we both subtracted both numbers and the rest remains as it is.
