Brung like terms together:-
1/4 y - 1 3/4 y + 11/2 + 2 - 12
= - 1 1/2 y  + 11/2 - 10
= - 1  1/2y  - 9/2.
Or i can give ou another way. 1 11 13 ((((—•y)+——)+2)-(——•y))-12 4 2 4 <span>Step  2  :</span> 11 Simplify —— 2 <span>Equation at the end of step  2  :</span> 1 11 13y ((((—•y)+——)+2)-———)-12 4 2 4 <span>Step  3  :</span> 1 Simplify — 4 <span>Equation at the end of step  3  :</span> 1 11 13y ((((— • y) + ——) + 2) - ———) - 12 4 2 4 <span>Step  4  :</span>Calculating the Least Common Multiple :

How do i reduce a shape by using the scale factor 2:1
bearhunter [10]

Answer: i think you're talking about dilations and there are specific formulas depending on the situation.

for example: the dilation of (x,y) is (-1/2x, -1/2y).

you'd probably need to subtract 2 from whatever measurements of the shape you're working with. i'm not completely sure though

2. How much water could my well hold if the depth of the well is 30ft and the diameter of the well is 24ft?
Ann [662]

Answer:

V=4,320\pi\ ft^{3}  or  V=13,564.8\ ft^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The volume of the cylinder (the well) is equal to

V=\pi r^{2} h

where

r=24/2=12\ ft ----> the radius is half the diameter

h=30\ ft

substitute

V=\pi (12)^{2}(30)

V=4,320\pi\ ft^{3}

assume

\pi =3.14

V=4,320(3.14)=13,564.8\ ft^{3}
