This dome-like shape forms due to the water molecules cohesive properties, or their tendency to stick to one another. Cohesion refers to the attraction of molecules for other molecules of the same kind, and water molecules have strong cohesive forces thanks to ability to form hydrogen bonds with one another

I wouldn’t genetically engineer my child as this has a lot of ethical concerns as certain people believe that we are created in the image of God so altering that would be deemed as wrong and sinful. Also this may have later health concerns for the child which hasn’t yet been tested so can not be sure if having designer babies is safe or not.

Water's high specific heat allows it to absorb a large amount of heat without changing much in temperature, keeping a relatively constant temperature in oceans and lakes which is beneficial to marine life. If water did not have a high specific heat, then it would increase in temperature very quickly and oceans and lakes would have drastic changes in temperature in very short periods of time. This could harm or kill the organisms living in them.
