Answer:

We can have two cases.

A quadratic function where the leading coefficient is larger than zero, in this case the arms of the graph will open up, and it will continue forever, so the maximum in this case is infinite.

A quadratic function where the leading coefficient is negative. In this case the arms of the graph will open down, then the maximum of the quadratic function coincides with the vertex of the function.

Where for a generic function:

y(x) = a*x^2 + b*x + c

The vertex is at:

x = -a/2b

and the maximum value is:

y(-a/2b)

Mamie saved $161.25. This is 25% of the amount she needs to save, how much money does Mamie need to save?
babunello [35]
You would solve this by writing it as a porpotion. It would be 25/100=161.25/x. Then, you would multiply the 100 and 161.25, which would get you 16125, then you would divide this by 25, which would get you your answer : $645.

If measure KL=136 and measure LH= 113. find measure angle KJH
notka56 [123]

Answer:

D) 111

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find ∠KJH we must find the measure of arc KH

Note that ∠KJH is a central angle and arc KH is the arc it intercepts

Because ∠KJH is a central angle it equal the measure of its intercepted arc

Thus, ∠KJH = arc KH

J is a circle that is made up of 3 arc; KL, LH and KH

If you didn't know the sum of the arcs in a circle = 360°

Which means that arc KL + arc LH + arc KH = 360

If arc KL = 136 and arc LH = 113

Then 136 + 113 + arc KH = 360

                        ^ ( note that we just created an equation that we can use to

                            solve for arc KH )

We now solve for arc KH

136 + 113 + arc KH = 360

* combine like terms *

136 + 113 = 249

we now have 249 + arc KH = 360

* subtract 249 from each side *

249 - 249 cancels out

360 - 249 = 111

We're left with arc KH = 111°

Like stated previously arc KH = ∠KJH

Hence, ∠KJH = 111°
