Since there is a barricade placed along the diagonal sq field, let's focus on one side of the triangle.

A pythagoras theorem formula can be used for right angle triangle.

So now we let the barricade be X.

By Pythagoras Theorem,

X² = 50² + 50²

X = sq root (50² +50²)

= 70.711 m ( 5sf)

= 70.7 m ( 3sf)

Therefore, the length of barricade is 70.7 m

Answer:

70.71m

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the diagonal, we can use Pythagiras theorem by splitting the field in half and creating a right angled triangle.

A^2+B^2=C^2

50^2+50^2=C^2

5000=C^2

Square root 5000= 70.71m (2dp)

Hope this helped!

THE GRAPH IS BELOW THANKS :) Anika is on the crew to set up rides for the state fair. The crew does most of the setup on the day
Vaselesa [24]

Answer:

(a) We will form an equation of line from the points given (6,10) and (2,15)

Using:y-y_1=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\cdot (x-x_1)

On substituting the values in the formula above we will get the required equation of line.

y-10=\frac{15-10}{2-6}\cdot (x-6)

\Rightarrow y-10=\frac{5}{-4}\cdot (x-6)

On simplification we will get:

y=\frac{1}{4}(-5x+70)

(b) We need to tell at day 0 put x=0 in above equation:

y=\frac{1}{4}(-5\cdot 0+70)

y=70

Anika worked for 70 hours on the set up crew on the day the fair arrived at the fairgrounds day 0.

Now, we need to tell decrease per day which is equal to the slope of line

To find the slope compare the equation with general equation which is y=mx+c where m is slope

Here, in y=\frac{1}{4}(-5x+70)

m=\frac{-5}{4}  which is the decrease per day.

<h3>Answer: C) none of the equations are identities</h3>

If you plugged theta = 0 into the first equation, then you would have

sin(45) + cos(45) = sin(0) + cos(0)

sqrt(2) = 1

which is a false equation. We don't have an identity here.

The same story happens with the second equation. Plug in theta = 0 and it becomes

cos(60) - sin(60) = cos^2(0) + tan(0)

1/2 - sqrt(3)/2 = 1 + 0

-0.37 = 1

which is false.
