I know the steps to CPR are to check the area, ask if the person is okay while patting them, check to see if they are breathing, have someone call 911 and get the AED, remove clothing to show the bare chest, start compressions, then do your breaths, and continue until the emergency people come or someone who knows what they are doing can take over.
