If they lose 5 yards on each of the three plays, that would be -15. 35 - 15 will give you 20 (unless they are on the opposite side, which then will give you 50 yards).
Dang, those must've been horrible plays.

The answer is 5×3-35 would be 5x3=15 35 -15=20

For some postive value of Z, the probability that a standardized normal variable is between 0 and Z is 0.3770. The value of Z is
Talja [164]

Answer:

1.16

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that;

For some positive value of Z, the probability that a standardized normal variable is between 0 and Z is 0.3770.

This implies that:

P(0<Z<z) = 0.3770

P(Z < z)-P(Z < 0) = 0.3770

P(Z < z) = 0.3770 + P(Z < 0)

From the standard normal tables , P(Z < 0) =0.5

P(Z < z) = 0.3770 + 0.5

P(Z < z) = 0.877

SO to determine the value of z for which it is equal to 0.877, we look at the

table of standard normal distribution and locate the probability value of 0.8770. we advance to the left until the first column is reached, we see that the value was 1.1. similarly, we did the same in the upward direction until the top row is reached, the value was 0.06. The intersection of the row and column values gives the area to the two tail of z. (i.e 1.1 + 0.06 =1.16)

therefore, P(Z ≤ 1.16 ) = 0.877

Is the product of two imaginary numbers always imaginary?
Diano4ka-milaya [45]
No. i*i = -1

2i*3i=-6

now if they meant complex numbers the answer is still no

(2+4i)(2-4i) = 4-8i+8i-16 = -12

Help plz solve these equations by completing the square

x square + 12x =1
Hitman42 [59]

Answer:

x = - 6 ± \sqrt{37}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

x² + 12x = 1

To complete the square

add ( half the coefficient of the x- term )² to both sides

x² + 2(6)x + 36 = 1 + 36

(x + 6)² = 37 ( take the square root of both sides )

x + 6 = ± \sqrt{37} ( subtract 6 from both sides )

x = - 6 ± \sqrt{37} ← exact solutions
