The correct option is (A) to fuel their chemical reactions

A lot of biochemical reactions occur per minute inside living cells and these reactions have to be sustained because the survival of living cells depend on them. For these reactions to proceed, energy is needed. This energy is usually obtained from the food which a living organism consumed. The mitochondria, which is the power house of the cell, is the one which convert the energy to the ATP form, which is usable by the cells.

Answer:

The most appropriate answer would be B. Have factories recycle water.

Recycling of water refers to the process which processed the waste water and convert it to reusable form.

It can be reused for various purposes:

  • Agriculture: irrigating different types of crops, aquaculture etc
  • Urban uses such as irrigating golf courses, public parks, private gardens, roadsides, cleaning of roads, systems involved in fire protection, washing of vehicles, toilet flushing, snow-making etc.
  • Industrial uses: processes that involve water like cooling towers, washing, dust control etc.
  • Environmental uses: It also helps in recharging the surface and ground water, marshes, wetlands, silviculture, wildlife habitat etc.
  • Potable: Recharge aquifers ultimately leads to increase in quantity of drinking water.

Hence, having factories which recycle water helps in keeping the freshwater resources renewable.

What is air pressure
Ahat [919]

Answer:

air pressure or atmospheric pressure is referred to the force exerted on a particular surface by air present above due to the gravitational pull of the earth.

Explanation:

in simple terms -air has weight and it constantly exerts pressure against everything in the surrounding. This pressure uses gravitational pull of the earth to exert its force on or over a surface. This is called atmospheric or air pressure. It can be measured by using barometer. The unit of measurement is atm (atmosphere)
