A train moves from rest to a speed of 25 m/s in 30.0 seconds. What is its acceleration?
iris [78.8K]

Answer:

Explanation:

The equation for acceleration is

a=\frac{v_f-v_0}{t} where vf is the final velocity and v0 is the initial velocity. For us, the final velocity is 25 m/s and the initial is 0 because the train started from resting position. Filling in and solving for a:

a=\frac{25-0}{30.0} so

a = .83 m/s/s

What is the speed of a bobsled whose distance-time graph indicates that it traveled 124m in 26s
krek1111 [17]
It's average speed during that 26 seconds was about 4.77 m/s. Without seeing the graph, we can't tell if it was going faster or slower at any particular time during that period. All we can tell is its average for the full interval.
