Answer: To a very large extent

Explanation:

Encoding is the process by which a sender of a message conveys his/her thoughts into words. The encoder is the sender in a communication chain. For communication to be effective, the sender encodes a message based on what he/she believes about the receivers knowledge and assumptions, along with what additional information he/she wants the receiver to have.

Decoding is how a receiver understands a message, interprets it and acts on them. A decoder is the receiver in the communication process. The extent to which a receiver understands the intended message is a composition of many factors which includes, the receiver's education, experience, perception and also the level of relationship that subsist between the sender and the receiver

Effective communication is an important element in a business success, it enhances relationship between the business and its clients while also fostering a healthy work environment between staff.

For effective communication to be achieved, the sender has to use a medium that conveys the message in the best way possible. The importance of effective communication to our every day dealings can not be overemphasized, because communication is in the foundation of our very existence.

A company manufactures and sells blank audiocassette tapes. The weekly fixed cost is $10,000 and it costs $0.40 to produce eac
sasho [114]

Answer:

6251 tapes

Explanation:

Given: fixed cost is $10,000.

Variable cost is $0.40 to produce each tape.

Selling price is $2 per tape.

Lets assume number of tapes to be produced and sold be "x"

We know, Total cost= Fixed\ cost+ Variable\ cost

∴ Total cost= 10000+ 0.40\times x

Total cost= 10000+0.40x

As given, selling price is $2 per tape.

∴ For attaining break even point, Tota cost = Selling price.

10000+0.40x= 2x

Solving the equation to find the value of x

⇒ 10000+0.40x= 2x

Subtracting both side by 0.4x

⇒10000= 1.60x

Dividing both side by 1.60

⇒ x= \frac{10000}{1.60}

∴ x= 6250

Hence, number of tapes must be sold and purchased is 6250 to attain break even in the business, however selling one more tapes will get profit is 6251.

If the U.S. government starts to sell off its stockpile of cheese:____.
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

if the government sells off its cheese, there would be a rightward shift of the supply curve. As a result, equilibrium price would fall and equilibrium quantity supplied would increase.

Due to the government's action, there would be an excess supply of cheese over the demand for cheese. More cheese would be available for sale and less cheese would be purchased.  This would lead to an increase in spoilage rates before sales

Louis owns a stock that has an average geometric return of10.50 percent and an average arithmetic return of 11.00 percent over t
RideAnS [48]

Answer:

Average annual rate of return should Louis expect to earn over the next four years is 10.7%

Explanation:

The formula we are going o use is:

Expected\ Return=\{(\frac{R-1}{N-1})*i_{g}\}+\{(\frac{N-R}{N-1})*i_{a}\}

Where:

R is the number of years over which Louis expect to earn.

N is the number of years of average arithmetic return.

i_{g} is the average geometric return=10.50%=0.105.

i_{a} is the average arithmetic return =11%=0.11.

Solution:

Expected\ Return=\{(\frac{R-1}{N-1})*i_{g}\}+\{(\frac{N-R}{N-1})*i_{a}\}\\Expected\ Return=\{(\frac{4-1}{6-1})*0.105\}+\{(\frac{6-4}{6-1})*0.11\}\\Expected\ Return=0.107

Average annual rate of return should Louis expect to earn over the next four years is 10.7%
