Diploid

Further explanation

Diploid is a term for a cell or individual that has cells with two sets of genomes. Each genome in a cell is paired with a homolog based on the length of the chromosome. Diploid cells are formed from the fertilization of haploid gamete cells. Haploid gamete cells fuse so that the chromosomes mix in one cell to form diploid cells. In sexual reproduction gametes produce offspring that carry genetic traits from the fusion of these gametes (commonly known as male gametes and female gametes) The number of haploid cell chromosomes is abbreviated (n), while diploid (2n) because it is a multiple of the basic chromosome set or female gametes. called euploid polyploid. The diploid cells can divide into other diploid cells through the process of mitosis and forming somatic structures. This can occur because the chromosomes replicate before the cell divides. Through mitosis the cell will maintain the set number of chromosomes so that the newly formed cell has the same number of chromosomes as the original cell chromosome.

Diploid cells can produce cells that are haploid by the process of meiosis to form gamete cells. These events continue to occur through the process of reproduction and fertilization to form a continuous cycle if the individual continues to grow and multiply.

Answer:

Diploid.

Explanation:

DNA is present in the genetic material of all the eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms. The eukaryotic genome contains DNA wraps around the histone proteins. Multiple distinct chromosomes are present in the eukaryote genome.

The eukaryotic genome are generally linear structure with the two copies of each chromosome. This makes the eukaryotic genome as diploid structure.

Thus, the correct answer is option (1).

Which of the following statements concerning viruses is true? View Available Hint(s) Which of the following statements concernin
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

The correct answer is "The "host range" for a virus is determined by the presence or absence of particular components on the surface of a host cell that are required for the virus to attach".

Explanation:

The missing option of this question is the one that is correct, which is "The "host range" for a virus is determined by the presence or absence of particular components on the surface of a host cell that are required for the virus to attach". A virus is able to infect by recognizing particular components that are present in the surface of the host cell. If this components are absent in the cell, the virus is not able to infect it. Therefore, the "host range" is determined by the presence or absence of this particular components.

1. Why are viruses considered nonliving but bacteria are considered living? Give two reasons. (1 point)
mezya [45]

Answer:the virus simply can't replicate. Viruses fail the second question for the same reason. ... Finally, a virus isn't considered living because it doesn't need to consume energy to survive, nor is it able to regulate its own temperature.Viruses are not made out of cells, they can't keep themselves in a stable state, they don't grow, and they can't make their own energy. Even though they definitely replicate and adapt to their environment, viruses are more like androids than real living organisms.

Explanation:

Viruses, like bacteria, are microscopic and cause human diseases. ... Viruses also lack the properties of living things: They have no energy metabolism, they do not grow, they produce no waste products, and they do not respond to stimuli. They also don't reproduce independently but must replicate by invading living cells.
