Patterns can help muliply and divide. For an example say your problem is 6x2 you can do 2+2+2+2+2+2. Or if your problem is 21 divided by 3 you could do 21-3 untill you get to zero and count how many time you had to subtract.
Y=-1/2x+5 slope=-1/2 because it goes down one unit and to the right 2 units, and the y intercept is 5 because that's where the line intercepts the y-axis!
