Biology

No, although they can skip generations, they do not always. It is based on the type of genotype that is with the recessive gene. They can skip generations because a dominant phenotype can be produced by either a homozygous dominant trait or a heterozygous genotype.

Simora [160]

Answer:

water is essential for life as we know

Explanation:

Water (H2O) is essential for life (i.e. carbon-based life) because this molecule has unique chemical properties. First, water is a universal solvent that helps cells to transport and use essential molecules (e.g., oxygen and nutrients). Second, water molecules help cells to maintain their shape/structure by generating pressure within the cells. Third, the polarity of water helps the formation of phospholipidic membranes because phospholipids have polar heads that interact with water and nonpolar tails that interact with each other. Fourth, water has a high heat capacity, thereby helping to regulate the temperature in the (intracellular) environment. Finally, water molecules also have unique adhesion and cohesion properties that enable the movement of substances against gravity (adhesion) and create a surface tension (cohesion) that helps to the formation of bubbles with water.

What is the macromolecules that builds both cilia and flagella??
Leni [432]

Microtubules are macromolecules that build both, cilia and flagella.

<span>Microtubules are cytoskeletal fibres that are formed by polymerization of α,β-tubulin and they are important components of cilia, flagella and some other cellular structures. Cilia and flagella are very similar in their organization, both have a central bundle of microtubules-axoneme. Axoneme is compound of nine outer doublet microtubules which surround a central pair of singlet microtubules. Even thought cilia and flagella are structurally similar, they are differentiated based on their function and/or length. Flagella are longer and the primary role of the flagella is locomotion. On the other hand, shorten cilia often has the function in sensing the extracellular environment.</span>

In what way are all living organisms on Earth similar?
ICE Princess25 [194]
They all fulfill the 8 characteristics of all living things to be classified as a living organism. Those 8 characteristics are being able to evolve as a group, reproduce, respond to stimuli, made up of cells, fulfill the universal genetic code, obtain and use energy, maintain homeostasis, and grow and develop.
