Brian (I think you meant Brian haha..) is incorrect because the tenth place is the number right after the decimal which is a 4. If you are rounding to the tenth place that means that you have to look at the number to the right of that, which is 4. 5 and up means you round up and 4 and down means you round down. This is a 4, so you keep the 4 after the decimal and get rid of the last 4. Therefore, when rounded it would be: 4.4.
Hope this helped! Good luck! :)

Need help on the answer
lions [1.4K]

Answer:

The second choice is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

In math, there are two types of numbers: real numbers and imaginary numbers. Imaginary numbers build upon the premise that the equation

x^2 +1 = 0 has no real solution. It is said that one of the imaginary solutions to this equation is <em>i</em>, or √-1. Real numbers are numbers that can represent the "distance" of a line. Real numbers have subsets known as natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, natural numbers. It also has a region of irrational numbers.

Natural numbers are numbers you use to count w/ your fingers (1, 2, 3 ...)

Whole numbers are natural numbers and 0 (0, 1, 2, 3 ...)

Integers are whole numbers and their opposites ( -1, 0, 1, ...)

Rational numbers integers and numbers that can be put into a fraction of two integers. for example, 1/2 is a fraction of the integers 1 and 2 ( -1, -1/2, 0, 1/2, 1 ...)

Irrational numbers are numbers that cannot be written as a simple fraction or cannot be written as terminating or repeating decimals (√2, π, <em>e, ...</em>).

The answer is not the first choice because it has whole numbers.

The answer is not the third choice because it has integers.

The answer is not the fourth choice because it has irrational numbers.

The answer is not the fifth choice because it has imaginary numbers.

The second choice is the one that has rational numbers and is the answer.

Julie is digging a square area in her backyard a for a vegtable garden. If the area is 52 square feet, what is the approximate l
AURORKA [14]

Answer:

<em>The correct option will be:   (b) 7 feet.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose, the length of the garden is  x feet.

As the <u>shape of the garden is like a square, then the area of the garden</u> will be: (length)^2 = x^2 feet²

Given that, the <u>area is 52 square feet</u>. So, the equation will be.......

x^2= 52\\ \\ x=\sqrt{52} = 7.211.... \approx 7

So, the approximate length of the garden will be 7 feet.

Need help fast don't understand both A and B show work please
Shkiper50 [21]
Problem A
Usually the number of bits in a byte is 8 or 16 or 32 and recently 64. You don't have to write a formula to restrict it to this number of bits. You are not asked to do so. The general formula is 2^n - 1 for the problem of Millie and her golden keys. Somehow the system can be made to choose the right number of bits. Apple IIe s for example, used 8 bits and there was a location that told the processor that fact.

2^n - 1 <<<<< Answer

Problem B
In this case n = 4
2^n - 1 = 2^4 - 1 = 16 - 1 = 15

Millie can collect 15 keys <<<<<< Answer

Dan made $5000 in taxable income last year.
storchak [24]

well, we know is 10% for the first 7500, but Dan only made 5000 of taxable income, so he's in that range of 0 - 7500, so he only gets to pay 10% of 5000.

\begin{array}{|c|ll} \cline{1-1} \textit{a\% of b}\\ \cline{1-1} \\ \left( \cfrac{a}{100} \right)\cdot b \\\\ \cline{1-1} \end{array}~\hspace{5em}\stackrel{\textit{10\% of 5000}}{\left( \cfrac{10}{100} \right)5000}\implies 500
