I love the name Josie. I think it suits any age, whether old or young, and is extremely cute! Personal experiences with the name Josie: | Edit My sweet 8 month old daughter is Josie Elisabeth and it suits her perfectly. Josie was my grandmother's nickname that died a year and one week before my daughter was born. My Josie is outgoing, a little sassy and a social butterfly. Her dad and I both have J names, too, so Josie is just perfect! :) My name is Josie Louise. I love the name Josie, it isn't that common but people know (usually) how to spell it and pronounce it, even though I sometimes get frustrated with people calling me Joe-Zee instead of Joe-C. I love it, it is short and sweet! My little sister's name is Josie Elizabeth, with Josie short for Josephine, but she goes by Josie. It's a cute name- I like it! Nicknames for Josie: | Edit Jo-Jo, Jose, Jo, Fie Meanings and history of the name Josie: | Edit I'm named Josie but I think it's pronounced a little differently to the majority of the way it is spelt. My name is provinces not like Rosie but instead of the z spins it's an s. I feel quite lucky to have this name (Josephine being my full name and Josie a nickname) because I think it's beautiful and can quite many people. Also it's not a common name yet it's not unusual. I have a coaster that says: Josephine 'From the Hebrew meaning "he shall add". She is quiet, reserved and caring, and has strong principles. She is always fair.' For me I think it's quite accurate. Famous real-life people named Josie: | Edit Josie Maran, American fashion supermodel (born Johanna Maran) Josie Bissett, American actress (born Jolyn Bissett) Josie Loren, American actress Josie Duggar, 19th child on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting Josie Bates, 10th child on UPtv's Bringing Up Bates

Reread lines 158-159. In what way do these lines sum up the conflict Hamlet feels? Cite textual evidence in your response.
My name is Ann [436]

Answer: Hamlet is angry at his mother for getting married to his uncle so quickly after his father's death.

Explanation:

<em>Hamlet</em> is Shakespeare's great tragedy about a man who seeks revenge after his father is murdered by his uncle, Claudius. To add to Hamlet's misery and despair, his uncle got married to his mother, less than a month after his brother's death.

In these particular lines from <em>Act I, Scene II</em>, Hamlet protests over their marriage and criticizes his mother. He is angry at the female gender, claiming that women are weak:

<em>''Frailty, thy name is woman!''</em>

Hamlet explains that even animals would have mourned longer than his mother. According to him, the tears on her cheeks had not even dried, and yet she jumped into <em>''incestuous sheets".</em><em> </em>Hamlet expresses his concern for the future and is aware that no good can come out of this marriage. However, he decides he will not confess his feelings to other people at this point. Note that later, when Hamlet meets the ghost of his father, he will devise a plan to act as a mad man and revenge him.

Which two central topics are both addressed in this text? A) the importance of size and interesting eating habits of blue whales
Rina8888 [55]

This question is incomplete, here´s the complete question.

Blue Whales

Joshua Tigue

1. Blue whales are the largest animals on Earth. They can measure up to 110 feet long and weigh as much as 400,000 pounds. Blue whale babies are born big. They can weigh as much as 6,000 pounds at birth. They grow for one full year to reach their adult size.

2. Blue whales live in the ocean. They swim fast, which helps them catch food. Blue whales must eat up to 8,000 pounds of food each day. They eat tiny fish called krill. To eat, the whale opens its mouth and lets the krill swim in. Once the krill are inside, the whale begins to close its mouth. It does not close the mouth the whole way, though. The whale shows its baleen. Baleen are long, strong hairs that act like teeth. The baleen allow the water to flow out. The baleen keep the krill in. The whale can then eat the fish.

3. Blue whales are named for their color. However, they are not really blue. Although they look blue under the water, they are actually gray. Blue whales prefer to swim alone. Their bellies are yellow.

4. Since blue whales are mammals, they must breathe air. Blue whales have a blowhole on the tops of their heads. A blowhole is like the nostril in a human nose. It lets blue whales breathe the air in and blow it back out. When whales go underwater, they can close their blowholes. They can open their blowholes when they want, too.

5. Because of their size, blue whales cannot be harmed by many other animals. This means they can live safely for a long time. They can live eighty or ninety years. Some even live to be one hundred years old!

Which two central topics are both addressed in this text?

A) the importance of size and interesting eating habits of blue whales

B) the importance of size and the fighting habits of blue whales

C) the strange eating habits of large and small ocean mammals and krill

D) the various ways blue mammals protect themselves and eat krill

Answer: A) the importance of size and interesting eating habits of blue whales

Explanation:

The provided text centers on the characteristics of blue whales, especially their eating habits and the importance of their size.

The fact that blue whales are big (they can be up to 110 feet long) is important because its the reason they can´t be hurt by other creatures. And despite their size, they can swim very fast, as a means to catch the 8,000 pounds of krill they need to eat every day.
