3x + 2y= 9. How do I solve this problem?
IrinaK [193]
All you can do to solve this is isolate the y
3x+2y=9 (subtract 3x from both sides)
2y=9-3x (divide both sides by 2)
y=9/2-3/2x or y=-3/2x+9/2

Hope this helps
