Daily intake of nutrients in human includes:- Energy, protein, fat, saturated fatty acid, carbohydrates, sugar , salt and dietary fibre.

Daily nutrients intake guide is designed by the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code, popularly known as FSC.  They have given a basic guideline about the diet plan required for a balanced adult diet, though it may vary according to the need of an individual.

The basic nutrients needed on a daily basis for an adult diet includes- Energy- 8,700 kilojoules; Protein- 50 gms; Fat- 70gms; Saturated fatty acids- 24gms; Carbohydrates- 310gms; Sugars- 90gms; Salt- 2.3gms and Dietary fibres- 30gms.
