15. Knowing that the genetic code is almost universal, a scientist uses molecular biological methods to insert the human B-globi

n gene into bacterial cells, hoping the cells will express it and synthesize functional B-globin protein. Instead, the protein produced is non-functional and is found to contain many fewer amino acids than does B-globin made by a eukaryotic cell. Explain why.

Answer:

The genetic information of living organisms is sequenced in DNA, which allows inheritable factors to be transmitted with each replication process. Proteins play a very important role by intervening in their metabolism during the translation and transcription of information. .

eukaryotic and prokaryotic organisms have different evolutionary sequelae that are reflected in the mechanisms they use for DNA translation, such as in the initial stages, lengthening and termination of sequencing, these differences are imparted by the order of the genes, the ribosome and its structural form and the promoter sequences.

In this way we can conclude that although the eukaryotic genes enter into a bacterium, the type of information that they take may arrive incomplete and this may generate subsequent defects for their operation, but there may be processes that guarantee a better transfer of information with the use of genetic engineering and enzyme management to introduce different bacterial genetic expressions with eukaryotic genes.

What happens to the actual image you see between the time you see it and it your brain registers it?
USPshnik [31]

Answer AND Explanation:

As light reflected from an external object enters the eye, it is refracted by the cornea, aqueous humour, the lens and vitreous humour so that an image is focused on the retina. The image is real, upside down and smaller than the object. The photoreceptor cells are stimulated by the reflected light and impulses are set off. The impulses are transmitted by neurons through the optic nerve to the optic region of the brain. The brain interprets the impulse as an upright impression of the object.

What is the difference between a general interest Science question and a testable question
VLD [36.1K]
A testable question is something you need data for, ex: if i bounce a bouncy ball from larger heights, how high will it fly? it can't be just a regular yes or no question

2. Describe the role of the following in maintaining a constant body temperature in humans:
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer:

Muscles can also receive messages from the brain when the body temperature decreases. They respond by shivering. Shivering causes the muscles to contract and relax quickly. This process generates heat.
