Answer:

The type of vegetation that is not found in the tundra is tall trees. The climate there is very cold and suitable for the growth of shrubs, herbs and small plants.

It cannot allow the growth of tall trees as the soil quality is very poor and the amount of sunlight reaching the plants is very less.

Hence, small plants and shrubs can grow in that region.

The vegetation of the tundra is composed of shrubs, grasses, mosses, lichens. Tree vegetation is very rare because of low temperature and short growing season.

Homologous chromosomes are set of chromosomes that possess similar but non-identical genes.

Homologous chromosomes are from each parent of an organism i.e. male and female parent.

The homologous chromosomes is responsible for the diploid state of an organism, however, it becomes separated during the anaphase 1 stage of meiosis.

In humans, syndactyly (webbed digits) is inherited by possession of a dominant allele (S). If a man who is homozygous and normal
____ [38]

Answer:

The % of children with webbed digits is 50%

Explanation:

Given -

Syndactyly or webbed digits are due to the presence of  a dominant allele (S). Then the allele for normal digits would be represented by allele "s"

A normal man with normal digits and genotype "ss" marries a woman with webbed digits and has a hetrozygous genotype i.e "Ss"

If we cross Ss and ss , then the following offspring are produced -

Ss * ss

Ss, Ss, ss, ss

Out of four 2 offspring with genotype ss have normal digits and remaining two offspring with genotype "Ss" have webbed digits. Thus, the % of children with webbed digits is 50%
