Abiotic and biotic factors determine what an environment will be like. Abiotic factors include aspects such as temperature, mois

ture, sunlight, elevation, and other nonliving elements that influence the organisms in that environment. Though something like temperature is living, it drastically affects how chemical reactions take place within the living cells of organisms. For example, enzymes only function well at certain temperatures. Unlike abiotic factors, biotic factors include aspects such as predators, competitive species, and symbiotic organisms - essentially the plants and animals that make up the nonliving part of the environment.

Anastasy [175]

Answer:

The correct answer is "cell lysis due to the effect of osmotic pressure".

Explanation:

The cell wall is a structure that brings protection from the outside world and also helps to maintain the cell's water balance. The cell wall prevents that the cells is exposed to a large amount of turgor pressure, making the cell turgid when it is under extremal conditions. Some antimicrobials, such as bacitracin, block cell wall synthesis which makes the cell unable to support turgor pressure, resulting in cell lysis due to the effect of osmotic pressure.

What will happen to the cell as it reaches equilibrium?
denpristay [2]

Answer:

Even when equilibrium is reached, particles of a solution will continue to move across the membrane in both directions. However, because almost equal numbers of particles move in each direction, there is no further change in concentration.
