Two salads will cost $4.98 and two drinks will cost $1.98, if you add the number of drinks and salads together we will have $6.96 then subtract the amount of money you have with you from $6.98 (8.00 - 6.98) then you will have $1.04. So, one of you can use the remaining $1.04 to buy second drink.
