Answer:

A. 3x^2 + 4 = 52

     3x^2 = 52 - 4

     3x^2 = 48

       x^2 = 48/3

       x^2 = 16

        x    = \sqrt{16}

        x = 4

B. x^2 - 121 = 0

     x^2  = 121

       x = \sqrt{121}

       x = 11

C. (b + 4 )2 = 49

    2b + 8 = 49

    2b  = 49 - 8

     2b = 41

        b = 41/2

In circle P, if the radius is 3 cm, what is the length of arc AD?
umka21 [38]

Hello there.

We have for a circle that:

\ell=\alpha r

Where:

\ell is the measure of the arc

\alpha is the measure of the angle (radians)

r is the radius of the circle

In our case, we have \alpha = 120^\circ = \dfrac{120}{180}\pi = \frac23\pi ~rad

We have r = 3 cm, then:

\ell = (\frac23\pi )(3\ cm)\\ \\ \boxed{\ell = 2\pi~cm}
