Let p (x) = 4x^4-13x^2-2x
The zero of x-2 is 2
putting x = 2 in p (x), we get,
p (2) = 4×2^4-13×2^2-2×2
= 64 - 52 - 4
= 64 - 56
= 8
Therefore, remainder = 8

Use the graph below to answer the following questions.
Maru [420]

Answer:

  • a) 3
  • b) x = {-3, -2, 2}

Step-by-step explanation:

Refer to attached for points

a) f(-1) = 3 as per graph

b) f(x) = 6

We add horizontal line through point y=6 to find intersections with the graph

Take x-values of those points. The points are x = -3, x = -2, x = 2

What are the steps to solving this?
Archy [21]

Answer:

64 cubic metres

Step-by-step explanation:

The triangular pyramid volume formula resembles the volume formula for any other pyramid or cone:

V = A * H / 3

where:

A is the area of the pyramid's base

H is the height from the base to the point

In other words: the volume of a triangular pyramid is one-third of the product of the base area and the pyramid's height.

8 x 6 / 2 to find area of base = 24

x 8 = 192

192 / 3 = 64

Hope this makes sense. If you would like, I can l1nk to a very useful website, or I can explain it further.

In this truss bridge, AAOB ABDC. AO=5 meters, BD=10 meters, AB=5 meters. What is the length of BC? A. 5 m B. 8 m C. 10 m D. 15 m
Olenka [21]

Consider \Delta AOB\cong \Delta BDC.

Given:

\Delta AOB\cong \Delta BDC, AO=5\ m,BD=10\ m, AB=5\ m.

To find:

The length of BC.

Solution:

We have,

\Delta AOB\cong \Delta BDC

We know that the corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent (CPCTC).

AB=BC                   (CPCTC)

5\ m=BC

The length of BC is 5 m. Therefore, the correct option is A.
