1. x is less then or equal to -1 or x is greater then or equal to 5.

2. x is greater then -4 and x is less than or equal to -1

The reason it is equal to or not is because above the original number there is a dot. If it is not filled in, it is considered open. This would leave it as greater than or less than. If it were filled in, it would be considered closed. Leaving it as greater than or equal to or less than or equal to.

On the scale model, the distance between the wheels on the left and the wheels on the right is 1 1/4 inches. The state of Wyormi
avanturin [10]

Answer:

No, modern train cannot travel on old railroad.

Step-by-step explanation:

In rail transport, track gauge is the spacing of the rails on a railway track and is measured between the inner faces of the load-bearing rails.

Most of the modern train are based on broad gauge. The separation in broad gauge is about 5 ft and 6 inches and in the standard gauge the separation between the tracks is 4 ft and 8\frac{1}{2} inches. So for the modern train it is not possible to travel on the tracks whose separation is no more than 4.5 feet.

It took James 5h to paint an 8ft by 24ft wall. At this rate, how long would it take him to paint a 12ft by 36ft wall
olasank [31]
8 * 24 feet = 192 sq feet per 5 hours

12* 36 = 432 square feet

432 is 2.25 times the area of 192 square feet

So, it takes 5 * 2.25 = 11.25 hours

G. Write the equation of the line in slope-intercept form.
Neko [114]

Answer:

  • y= x-2
  • y = 4/5 x+39/5

Step-by-step explanation:

1.

(3,1) and\:perpendicular \:to \: y = -x+1\\(3,1) = (x,y)\\m = -1\\In\: perpendicularism ; m_2 = \frac{-1}{m_1} \\m_2 = \frac{-1}{-1} \\m_2 =1\\y = mx+c\\1 = 1(3) +c\\1=3+c\\1-3=c\\-2 =c\\Substitute \:new \:values\:into\\y =mx+c\\y = 1x -2\\y = x-2

2.

(-1,7) =(x_1,y_1)\\\\5y = 4x+5\\\\Write\:in\:y=mx+c\:form\\\frac{5y}{5} = \frac{4}{5} x + \frac{5}{5} \\y = \frac{4}{5} x +1\\m = \frac{4}{5} \\\\y -y_1=m(x-x_1)\\y-7=\frac{4}{5} (x -(-1)\\y -7 = 4/5(x+1)\\y -7 = 4/5x +4/5\\\\y = \frac{4}{5} x+\frac{4}{5} +7\\\\y = \frac{4}{5} x +39/5

X = {(2, 3), (2, 4), (2, 5), (2, 6)} is x a function and why? no, each ordered pair in this list has the same first element. yes
Vesnalui [34]
For every input, there is one output
for every x there is one y
(x,y)

if x repeats with a differnt y, it's not a function
we see
(2,3) and (2,4) and all of them

no, not a function
<span>no, each ordered pair in this list has the same first element
answer is first one
</span>
